Wayfair: Which area of your home are you most focused on updating or sprucing up for the summer season and why?
Emily: We've been working like crazy to finish up our living room project but I've also been trying to get our outdoor living space a bit nicer looking. We just added some additional seating around our fire pit with these chairs from Wayfair and love them!
Wayfair: Which color palettes are speaking to you this season?
Emily: Neutrals are always my go-to in both style and home, but for summer I love incorporating light blues and sage green into both indoor and outdoor accents.
Wayfair: Are there any home design trends that you are really loving right now?
Emily: I've been loving the deeper, darker hues on walls and cabinets lately. Deep greens, blues, blacks, even purples seem to be here to stay and I'm all for it.
Wayfair: Which activities are you most looking forward to this summer?
Emily: Getting out of the house more now that vaccines are here and restrictions are lifting. A beautiful morning hike followed by lots of reading and coffee always makes for a wonderful summer day.

There's nothing I wish we could do more than rip out bathroom and make it beautiful from the ground up. That's another project for another day (likely next year) but in the meantime I can gather all the spa-like bathroom inspo and start creating my ideal designs.

A few tips to make any outdoor space a little backyard getaway:
- Create comfy seating
- Add some lights
- Don't forget the bug repellant
