I have a pretty open mind when it comes to fashion. I’m up for trying on or styling anything once. On my summer bucket list was attempting to wear and style a pair of dungarees (or overalls). You may remember that last summer I wore this pair of shorts overalls and absolutely LOVED them (I actually still wear them about once a week) but I had yet to style or even try on a pair of pant-overalls.
I decided to order a pair via Prime Wardrobe to try them on. I tried them on a few days before the photo shoot and I was hooked. They’re incredibly easy to wear and go with just about everything. This exact pair were from Level 99 a brand that does denim so well.
A couple things to note about the fit and style: I do wish they had a petite sizing. I stand at an even 5 feet tall (which is why I styled this look with heels and a rolled-up hem) and found the shoulder straps were the only downfall of the style. I’ve tried on other overalls before and have found I like the look of buttons for adjustable shoulder straps, but find the metal sizers much more functional.
If you’re small as well, you would definitely want to size down in this particular pair of dungarees. I ordered a size Small and definitely would go down to an XS.
Overall, I love the look of these in all their olive glory. Summer styling calls for simple tanks and brethable layers. I also wore these the next day with white canvas sneakers and a white tee for a casual weekend look. While this outfit is not quite day-to-night you can definitely open up some outfit possibilties with a change of shoes or tank underneath to dress it up or down depending on your situation.
