I didn’t NEED another pair of boots. I really didn’t. I have more boots than heels and sandals combined at this point ( not that I’m complaining) but the point is I have maybe a slight obsession with fall/winter footwear. I’m picky about my shoes. Not many fit me well and the ones that don’t cause blisters I wear to death. So in all honesty if I like a pair of boots there’s a good chance I’ll buy the same pair over and over – sorry, you may see me wearing my chelsea boots by Toms until the end of my days.
Thank you to TOMS for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.

While some women find great pleasure in a great pair of heels and others opt for that street style look with high-tops I could never ever pull off, I kick back to my New England roots and always go for a rugged chic look from head to toe. Such a look was perfect for a jaunt up to one of Greenville’s newest coffee shops – Barista Tiny.
It’s a coffee shop built inside the frame of a tiny home on the edge of Lake Cummingham with a thoughtfully designed Scandinavian-style interior.
It was a chilly, post-rain morning that found myself and fellow photographer/blogger Sarah (Strikes of Luck) sipping cinnamon spice lattes in Adirondack chairs around a warm fire. We both commented on the European feel of the space while plotting out how to best capture the vibe in just a photograph.
And before you think I spend my Friday mornings whittling the time away in Euro-esque coffee shops, we were actually there for a specific purpose: to photograph the boots I was wearing for my all-time favorite shoe brand.
I’ve had the immense pleasure of creating content for Toms for 2 different blog/social campaigns now and every time I interact with the brand I remember why it’s amazing to represent their brand. This campaign was to shoot and share their latest boot collection launch.
I picked out the Mesa boots in white about 30 seconds after finalizing the contract and I’m kinda obsessed with them.
The specs are pretty impressive – waterproof leather, faux shearling, thick foam soles . . .
Toms shoes are known for their near flawless shoe designs and these boots were no different. I’ve tried on countless pairs of winter, heavy-duty boots like this and they’re all uncomfortable. Most boots have a thick seam that always hits my heel wrong and causes blisters almost immediately. These Mesa boots don’t have that seam and it’s a literal stroke of genius on the part of their shoe designers.
