Introducing Wallflower

What a strange time to launch a new business! Every marketing rule gets thrown out the window, apparently, in the middle of a global crisis.

But although some initial plans got thrown out the window, we’re still moving forward with a new little brand that has made me so very happy to share with the world.

Wallflower is designed to be a beautiful and elegant range of hair accessories for women of all ages.

The plan is to launch different collections throughout the year. We’ve started with our Classic Collection – chiffon scrunchies that look more like flowers than hair ties – and soon we’ll be launching our Sustainable Collection – a collection of hair scrunchies, scarves, and ties made from beautiful repurposed fabrics that would have ended up the landfill.

Each piece is made in Greenville, South Carolina by the most talented seamstress and designer I know – my mom. It’s been such a fun process creating an initial concept and working through styles and patterns until we settled on one we were so happy with.

We really wanted this collection (and all of our future collections) to be accessible and affordable. I love beautiful, quality products as much as the next person but dropping $40 or $70 for a hair accessory will never be in my budget. We wanted to keep the quality high and the price low so everyone who wanted could have a chance to buy one.

Our idea behind the recently launched Classic Collection was to create products that could be used as bridesmaid gifts, birthday presents, or care package stuffers. Use them in the place of jewelry, wear them on your wrist or in your hair, dress up a plain outfit or use it as a key ring.

Honestly, the possibilities for these little scrunches are endless, and we can’t wait to see what creative uses you’ll come up for them.

Right now we’ve launched our products on Etsy as our main selling platform with the potential of launching our own website in the future! Our Facebook page is up and running as is our Instagram account and if you follow along you’ll be able to find out when new collections drop, sales are running, and efforts we are engaging in to help those around us.

We’d love for you to support this little brand by making a purchase or just simply following along on our social platforms.

We’re also so excited to announce that we’ll be part of the Greenville-based Indie Craft Parade Spring Pop-Up (happening in June!) You’ll be able to shop our products in person or online with curbside pickup. More details to come on that soon.
