While I always wish fall would come faster and stay longer when it does arrive Greenville is situated in the perfect location to experience some really great fall foliage. With the mountains just to the north and an abundance of trees, the colors can go from normal to spectacular in the blink of an eye. And while I’m still waiting for nature’s colors to change, I’ve been changing out some of the pieces in my wardrobe for ones inspired by the colors of fall.
Although it’s always an ever popular choice for fall and winter wardrobes, the jewel tones in garments this year are truly spectacular. From marigold and mustards to burgundy and emerald, it’s easy to find a stunning deep tone that will work for your coloring and embrace it all season long. This particular sweater from Anthropologie was one of the easier purchases I’ve made recently (I have a hard time shopping for items that are not on sale) because of the color, darling details, and it’s not so subtle emphasis on coziness.
Paired with pants and boots it’s the perfect transition piece, especially if you live in a region where the forecast for the next 10 days still predicts 80 degrees.
Another piece I’ve been loving this fall are my Barrow Flats from Moorea Seal. I have had my eye on this style of boot for some time now, but the popular version is these from Free People that come with a pretty hefty price tag. So when a friend showed me these similar ones for a fraction of the price I ordered them the next day!
