We've had beautiful September weather in South Carolina this week. It actually feels like fall in the Upstate – something not commonly felt until late October! So with the arrival of 60 degree temps, comes the chance to pull out the jackets and layers and flannels and jeans.
I recently found some really great fall pieces on everyone's favorite online mall – Amazon – and wanted to share my finds in case your stuck on fall shopping while still social distancing.
Prime Wardrobe Review
One of the little known but super handy sections of Amazon is called Prime Wardrobe. If you're a Prime member you get access to a collection of clothing that's available for a free try-on period. You pick up to 8 items, ship them to your house, try them on for 7 days and then return what doesn't fit or you don't like.
You're not charged the item's price until you decide to keep it or if something doesn't work or fit you can return it all with no charge – even the shipping back and forth is free.
It's an excellent way to fill out your fall wardrobe at home without the hassle of returns and fees as is common with other retailers. Not every Amazon Fashion item is Prime Wardrobe eligible, but everything I'm showing you here is!
Black and White Jacket
"Shackets" or shirt jackets are very popular this year and for good reasons. It's embracing the oversized trend in the best way possible while still looking put together. This BB Dakota piece is a really great spin on the classic flannel shirt for fall and looks great over a ribbed midi dress like this one. I tried on a Medium and it was a really good oversized fit without feeling like I was swimming in fabric.
Green Jacket
I am SO tempted to keep this Whitetails jacket because it's pretty much everything I could want in a fall coat. It is the perfect dupe for a Barbour jacket ( my dream outerwear piece) but the price tag is amazing – only $70! I was so surprised with the quality, it has a waxed outer layer, a cozy flannel interior and is perfect for throwing on over any outfit – whether you're going to feed sheep in the Scottish Highlands or sit in a Greenville, SC coffee shop.
Denim Jacket
I truly didn't think I was going to like this jacket. I love denim jackets, but the trucker style kinda threw me off initially. I was rummaging through my closet trying to decide how to style it and came across my extra versatile Sezane dress. This might be one of my favorite outfits of the bunch.
Ivory Sweater
If you're looking for a bit more color in your life, this sweater will do the trick. It's fun and funky with great orange details and a mock neck. It's soft, comfy, and a bit oversized, so it's perfect with jeans all season long.

I heard a stylist say one time that if you're standing in front of your closet and don't know what to wear, you haven't invested in quality basics. Both pieces in this look are such good basics that are worth picking up.
A soft, well-fitting long sleeve tee is essential for layering or a standalone piece and I don't have to explain the benefit of owning at least one pair of jeans that fit just right.
