With the sun shining and the breeze whipping, this past Saturday was the perfect day to go out to the lake nearby and shoot a winter-to-spring transition look. The key to an effortless look while in the midst of mid-60’s weather is layering winter pieces with lighter spring/summer closet staples. One of my favorite color combinations for any time of the year is white/ivory and blues. It’s a classic look that is easy to transition into spring with a cozy cardigan, coordinating dress, and an unexpected shoe choice.
Spring fashion trends this year are going to be all about clothes with movement and unexpected elements that work together to create an easy and sophisticated look. Last year cold shoulders, flouncy ruffles, and baggy silhouettes were all the rage, but for spring and summer 2017 look to invest in classic pieces with movement – like pleated skirts and silk tops.
