Just off the highway that runs between Greenville and Clemson, a little village sits – unassuming and charming. A pizza joint, pharmacy, upscale eatery, and seasonal farmer’s market create Patrick Square, but clearly, it’s on the brink of something special.
Thank you to the Inn at Patrick Square for hosting me for a lovely night. All opinions are my own.
Last weekend Lee and I visited the little area with the purpose of checking out a brand new boutique hotel, The Inn at Patrick Square. Just over the hill off the highway, the charming inn exterior comes into view – quintessentially Southern – with towering white pillars and a welcoming front porch.
The inn is a boutique hotel with 36 guest rooms and 9 suites with beautiful modern amenities like luxurious showers and dangerously comfortable beds. But my favorite part was actually the cozy little spaces to curl up with a good book and lose track of time reading. Big leather couches, rocking chairs, leather love seats, even the cafe with its cozy seats, delicious drinks, and warm fireplace is the perfect place to spend a few hours catching up with friends, writing Christmas cards, or just wasting a few hours.
With Clemson’s main campus just 2 miles up the road, there are plenty of activities – even if you have no ties to the University itself. Lee and I both agreed that the Inn at Patrick Square would be the perfect place for anything from a quick little overnight trip to an extended stay. Every staff member made it feel just like being at home – but with delicious coffees, (they use Methodical coffee for all their drinks!) fresh sheets, and a whole lot of Southern charm. I already can’t wait to go back.
A huge thank you to everyone at The Inn at Patrick Square for making the stay truly memorable and for their generosity and hospitality.
