These year in review posts are some of my favorite blog posts to compile/write. I don’t often take a look back at the content I’ve created but when I do I’m always filled with pride at the amount of work we’ve been able to accomplish in a year.
2018 felt like the year I grew into my proverbial blogging shoes. I started to get the hang of pitching for collaborations and partnered with 31 different brands over the course of the year on my blog alone for various types of collaborations! I finally was convinced Pinterest was more than a recipe box and have been pouring all my energy into cultivate my presence on the platform with tremendous rewards.
As a couple, Lee and I traveled more than ever before making trips to Atlanta, New York, Charleston, the Bahamas, Indiana, Tennessee, North Carolina, Washington DC, Seattle, and Portland. And at the start of 2018 we made the decision to upgrade our photography equipment – a much needed change that transformed the way we took and showcased photos.
In May of this year, we launched version 2.0 of the blog into a clean and simple platform with an easy navigation, helpful shopping categories and more recently a Daily Outfit section. We also started the journey into video content with a vlog and two travel videos.
All in all it was an eventful, exciting year with lots of beautiful memories and events documented on this platform. It’s hard to say exactly what 2019 will hold for this space, but I’m feeling good about the momentum that has been building throughout the past year and I’m actually planning to dedicate almost 100% of my working time to growing this platform and the content I share on it. From diving into a few new areas of content – Home Decor and Styling – to sharing how to create a beautiful and basic wardrobe, it will be an exciting adventure.
As always, thank you for taking the time to read and engage with my stories. Without you, this little dream of mine would not be possible and if I could personally thank you, I would. I hope 2019 is filled with purpose and hard work and dreaming and creating the life you’re so happy to live.
